Can anyone tell me how to root a OnePlus One?

My OnePlus one has started giving me problems. It refuses to wake sometiems, also restarts randomly, but now I have call issues where people cannot hear me I want to refresh it so I might as well root it as I hear there are advantages like backing up and adblocking etc. Can anyone point me to an easy to follow step by step…

I have literaly just sold my OPO but it served me well for 9 months (upgraded to Galaxy S6 Edge plus)
