Quick question have been stalking/watching a big dog fox in my area last few weeks. He is trying to catch seagulls as they sleep on the beach when the full tide is out. What is the law on shooting him??

If you have permission to shoot there then shoot him

If he is doing no other damage or harm in the area, leave it alone, if its eating seagulls he is getting rid of the dirty flying vermin

That really is vermin control, in every sense of the meaning...😁

......and I don't think your foreshore license would cover it!!!

10 different species in Ireland that are either breeding/wintering/both. Some of the species like Herring gull and black headed gull are red-listed, after undergoing substantial population declines.
