commercial vehicle, private tax and insurance/

    I want to get a pick up but I don't have a vat no or valid work reason to get commercial tax. Can I get one and pay for private tax and insurance? Anyone doing this?

    Your insurance company will decide. When renewing my commercial policy on my crew cab they ask me for the daily job title to decide if I satisfy commercial insurance policies.
    Mince you hav that the tax is straight forward.
    Any company I reins for renewal tell me if I have commercial insurance it must have commercial tax and DOE. If it has an NCT then it needs private insurance and private tax, you can't mix and match. That's my experience though.
