    hello all
gas boiler acting up, misfiring/not heating up rads as hot as it used to
have booked a maintenance visit via bord gais
if the boiler is kaput and has to be replaced would it be better to replace it with a combi boiler or just like for like
what are the pros and cons of each?
    thanks

Would have tho be looked at as an individual case, for suitability, but see how you get on first, you may be jumping the gun (hope)

    Hi
Looking for some suggestion to decide either combi or system boiler.
Currently we have Vokera My nute 14Se which started dripping water and been told that heat sink is gone, boiler is around 15 years old and suggested to replace with new one.
This is a standard 4 bed house with one shower, one bath and WC downstairs.
Please suggest if it is good to replace with Combi boiler or system boiler, and which model and brand?

    1. would Combi be capable to fulfill the hot water demand
    2. if no hotwater storage in house means there is no backup of hot water
    3. which one more economical , combi or system ( assuming both are A rating) on gas bills
    4. if shower is in use and someone open kitchen sink tab would combi send hot water to both at the same temp?
    5. in summer if we only need less hot water to sink taps, would that hot water (temp) be ok to take shower?

Would appreciate if someone can advise please?
