I've been on illness benefit since April for pnd. Getting the reduced rate plus half for two kids. So coming out with 114.30

My partner who was on job seekers allowance put out his back on Tuesday. He has damaged two disks and is in bed on valium trying to relax the spasm.
    He was getting 217,80

Ive just signed him off jsa as he's not fit for work never mind anything else

He's not entitled to illness as it's so long since he worked
And they are sending me a form to add him to my illness claim.

Does anyone know is it the 84 something I'll get for him in my claim or less.

Just wondering cuz if it's any less we will more than likely have to leave our home and I need to plan for this.
She is sending me the form today

    Tia

There is something wrong with the amount you were receiving as a couple even before he injured his back. For a couple and two children your payments between you should have totalled €372.40 unless you are receiving a top up from your employer. If not receiving a top up and there arent means from any other source then the amount your partner was in receiving need to be queried. You will only receive €80.90 for your partner on illness benefit http://www.welfare.ie/en/pages/345_illness-benefit.aspx
Once he has been added to your illness benefit and if the payment in total is less than €372.40 go to your local community welfare officer and they will top your payment up with supplementary welfare allowance.

How do I go about querying the payment amount

You should go into your local sw office and ask them.
