Tried it last Friday and was quite impressed with it.

I like the sound of this! What's it taste like?

I'm no expert on beers so probably wouldn't do it justice in my description. It's tastes like a strong ale, very pleasant on the palette. What spices are there are not overpowering and almost appear as an aftertaste. I'll definitely be buying more of it though.

Thought it wasn't great myself, just a typical gimmick winter beer with overdone cinnamon. The other seasonal though - dry hopped amber ale - was a different story. Top notch, hop heavy, taste!

Saw the new dry hopped amber and the winter ale today. Picked up the amber as I'm not a fan of cinnamon and other spices in beer. Look forward to trying the amber (cooling in the fridge as we speak). Hope there is a decent amount of hops in it as your rarely see anything particularly hoppy for €1.89 a bottle!

Fair play to Aldi and Carlow brewing for doing a few seasonal specials at supermarket prices anyway, hope they taste good!

Tried both tonight. The winter ale is lovely.. nice background spices but at the heart a nice ale. The amber is a bit of a beaut to be honest lovely and hoppy with low bitterness. Will get them both again

Found the amber a bit watery tbh. Needs to be warmed a bit to get the best of it. Not bad for the price though

Tasty enough, probably prefer the dry hopped amber ale. Both great for the price. As are the O'Sheas IPA and stout. You can see that as there always seems to plenty of Red and Golden left over, but less of the others, in the Aldis I've been in.

Had a bottle of both the other night. Didn't get much spice off the winter one. Bit bland. For the price though the Hopped Amber Ale is nice. I'll probably pick up a few bottles again if I I'm in Aldi.
