Possible to chip a crown while flossing?

I have a crown on a upper tooth and while trying to floss in behind it tonight the floss got stuck and shredded pretty bad. I flossed and reflossed trying to remove the shredded floss but out popped a very small piece of something hard. I had a small amount of bleeding after but it stopped very quickly. I've no pain & I can't see anything of note - although I don't really know what I'm looking at :D

Is it likely this is a piece of the crown??? I would have thought it would be quite difficult - pressure used was not that much. If it's a piece of the crown will I see symptoms or do I need to head to the dentist on a precautionary basis?

Its most likely a piece of cement and of no concern, go to your dentist to check.
