After getting fill of petrol lastnight car kept loosing power and chugging. Managed drive it home. Wouldn't start this morning but managed get it going with a push. However it cuts out unless I keep clutch down even when in neutral. Put some dipetane through petrol this evening thinking it was dirty petrol causing it but doubt it now.
Tried starting it again tonight but no joy.

Any ideas what it could be???

Most likely the ignition coil. I've changed countless amount of these on focus'.
If your anyway handy with cars, when you get it running pull one plug lead off at a time. Only enough so you can see the spark. More than likely one isn't sparking (can't remember which one seems to go all the time).

Cheap enough and easy fix. MCS in Ballymount are cheapest for ford parts.

Edit: just to avoid confusion, it's just one coil pack with 4 outputs. You can do as I said above with the plug leads but on the coil end.
