    I am looking at upgrading from my 00 bmw 320D.
    I have no idea what exactly i'm after. Looking at 2008 upwards with a budget of roughly €9000, looking for a solid safe car for myself and my 6month old, so need good size boot and be a bit spacious in the back for his carseat.
    Have had diesel for the last 7 years but wouldn't mind petrol,travel wise I would probably do 10,000 miles a year (total estimate!) To give ye an idea I have been looking at mondeos, focus, volvo and skodas.
    Any tips greatly appreciated.
