    having prob with passat boot . wont open sometimes with remote or inside control on door . irregular pattern . anybody can help?

    Possibly bad earth or the wiring to boot is fraying.
    What year is car?

    Tbh, you probably need to check the electronics.
    Do you have a volt meter?
    Maybe swing by an auto electrician and ask.

    The acruator might be on its way out. Better to get it checked before it fails completely
