    Hi everyone,

Looking for a bit of advice from people on how they find Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I have an iPhone 6 and was thinking of buying the Edge. I sit on the fence with iOS and android I am just as happy with both for different reasons, I've had android and iOS over the years. Any thoughts on the Edge? Worth the change?

    Thanks.

How long do you plan on keeping the Edge for? To be honest they're both flagship phones and you're not going to notice a huge amount of difference in performance with the Edge having a better camera and a bit snappier though I've heard complaints of poor performance from some. I would think a major issue with the iPhone 6 is the 1GB RAM which makes multitasking a chore and makes even web browsing a frustrating experience at times. Having said that the Touchwiz implementation of multitasking is meant to be awful too as the software is too quick to kill background apps. Your mileage may vary obviously but you need to ask yourself why you're changing and then check does the S6 meet your requirements.

I have both and the Ip6 is still a smoother experience but edge wins on design, camera, and screen and only seems to fail on multi tasking if u run more than 4 apps. If the camera on the 6s is as good as claimed along with faster gpu performance I think I would be considering the 6s over the 6.

I just ordered the edge myself from eglobal sim free.
I have the HTC one m8 at the moment and just wanted a change and a decent camera (IMO the camera is the achillies heel for HTC). It was toss up between the Iphone 6s and Samsung s6 edge for me but i went with samsung as it worked out cheaper for 64gb. As others have said both have plenty of power but fast charging, screen and camera made me lean towards the s6 edge aswell as the design. The edge really is a stunning phone to look at

If you have to have a Samsung phone and buy the S6 Edge, replace the launcher as soon as you can.
It'll rid you of much of the tosh Touchwiz behind with it.
I use Nova on all my and itsit's fantastic.
You still retain the idiosyncratic features of the curved screen apps and options but it let's you have a much closer to stock android UI, and customise it to your heart's content.

I didn't know anything about fast charging till i got the s6 edge.. Couldn't be without it now..

Curved screen is purely a gimmick but looks well imo.. Perfect sized phone. I won't be going bigger or smaller any time soon..

Touchwizz is pared right back, yeah the multi task is terrible, but i don't use it, so doesn't bother me.

There's a decent ios launcher available, so best of both worlds :)

Literally just received mine, order from Amazon Italia cheapest i could find and amazing next day delivery.

Touchwiz is a lot more refined thesedays but i still always use Nova launcher.

The S6 Edge Plus is the best handset on the market no doubts about it, wins in almost every department, love the premium design, seriously have to get a case for it.

I find the S6 much faster with stock touchwiz. I tried nova launcher and the phone UI just felt sluggish but I am very sensitive to that sort of thing anyway. Downloaded the material light theme from the Samsung theme store (customisation is very poor compared to M9 though) and pretty much all the icons are like the nexus 6 ones now. I got my edge a few months back and I was slightly annoyed Samsung pulled the free Avengers themes from their store :( So now I use tapet to generate random material like wallpapers. Avengers Ultron was meh away :)

I find edge people contacts handy and I use the edge apps all the time for apps I occasionally use like file explorer, pocket, push bullet etc.. You just have to train yourself to use these features I think. And the edge night clock is dead handy especially with a kick stand. One thing I noticed is you have to stick with the stock texting app or email app if you want to be able to read the messages via the edge people bubbles when someone sends a text or email. I think the stock text app is pretty good so I stick with that. Email one is terrible so I use google inbox.

My only regret is I didn't wait for the Edge+ but with CPH charging 900 euro for the 32gb one and the 64gb edge dropped to 699 with VF now, I bet the 64gb plus would be super expensive.
