Moving House Query?

    Hi,

My wife and I are currently living in rental accomodation. We registered with IW last year and have paid both bills so far.
However, our landlord has increased our rent considerably and we are moving out on the 10th October. We are moving to my wife's parents' house (also IW customers) in order to save for a deposit for a house.
I'm wondering how to transfer the account back to my landlord - or what is the procedure in a case like this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Bradt Pitt,

    Thank you for contacting us.

If you contact Irish Water on 1890 448 448 we can update your account to reflect that you will no longer reside in that property from the date you move. This will remove the financial responsibility from you going forward as you will no longer live there.

If you contact us on the number above we will update your account and issue you a final bill for that property.

I hope you find this information helpful. Please feel free to contact us in the meantime should you have any other queries.

    Kind regards,
    Niall
