New oil boiler leaking

    Hi all,

I got a plumber to install a new oil boiler but it's leaking a small drop of water.
As he's not answering his phone  I opened the side door and found the leak.
It's at a pipe connection (the water pipe that comes up out of the ground), there's a small weep of water coming out which travels down the outside of the pipe, onto the metal floor of the boiler and eventually seeps out under the boiler creating a damp patch on the ground (see below).
Is this something I can fix myself (I tightened the connection a little bit more than it was, by hand, but it's still the same)?
I don't want to flood the yard...

Looks like a push fitting but I could be wrong. I would leave it to him though as it's his job.

Let's have a zoomed out pic of that area please.

If I could get in touch with him I would gladly leave it to him.

Just make sure it isn't a leak from above dropping down on it.

If there is a leak there, you may be able to tighten it, but only experience can tell you how far you can go before you overdo it.

Call around to your installer. It will not be a big job for him.

It's definitely not a leak dropping onto it (I wiped the water dry with kitchen roll and saw it starting to get wet again).
I did tighten it further by hand but I didn't want to overdo it. Is there PTFE or something inside the fitting?

No it's a push fitting. It can't be tightened. The pipe must be damaged or has dirt on it. Disgraceful job on the condensate pipe work outlet too

It's piped into a water drain.

    In what size pipe?

1 1/4",insulated with water proof insulation.i cant quite see in the picture but going by the plastic fittings its more than likely just 22 mm condensate pipe so i think now its "not good"
