    Hi all,

I'm looking for recommendations (on Thomaan probably) before I buy a new small bass combo for beginner. Something to practice and play small gigs with. Minimum 40 to 100watt. Ideally with EQ.

Anybody bought anything recently (thats still available to buy new) that they can recommend?

    Hi,

First of all sorry for my english, I would suggest no less than 250/300W if you are planning to gig, you "need" at least 3 times the power of a guitar amp.
Try Markbass and EBS their combos are very reliable.

    Thanks spark1977.

The "gigs" I was thinking of are basically the corner of the pub/room semi-acoustic, jamming session. So really a practice amp with a bit of power.

PS: Your english is very good. Probably better than mine! :o

Have a look at the Gallien Kruger Micro Bass series. I use one for pub gigs with a double bass. It's louder with the electric. Very portable, sweet sound, and a DI out should you want to put it through a desk, which I do a lot.
Big gigs you might want something bigger, but mine is 100w, and has cab connector which will boost the output to 150w.
