Buying a phone from China?

    Hi,
So I'm looking to buy a phone from China on AliExpress and its around €490. Should I expect to have to pay extra tax and import charges if it is shipped to me in Ireland through DHL? I could have it shipped from Spain for €555 either, would I still be charged import charges or would it be different for an EU country?
    Thanks

If you use DHL you are very likely to have customs fees added, if it's shipped from Spain there are no customs charges as it was sent from another EU country.

Right and I'm guessing the customs fees on a €490 phone will be a lot more than €65 (Assuming at least 21% VAT) so I'm probably better off with the Spanish supplier.
