Longest time between intro and sex

Following on from the thread about shortest time between intro and sex what's the longest time you've known someone before you enjoyed each others company that bit more? Was it good? Was it weird afterwards?

I've a lady i've been friends with for the best part of 20 years since our student days and we get on great and she's a beautiful girl but i never looked at her in that way at all. Have i missed a trick here?

Hah I've a similar story actually. Friends with her since we were about 2, we lived near each other. Lost our virgnity together when we were 16. Still friends but we never dated or anything.

About a year and a half- he was a friend of a friend and we met at said friend's house party. Didn't meet again until the following year and starting going out shortly after.

Oh yes you have!

I'm not saying you do now, but bet it crossed your mind at some stage in those 20 years. Even if you immediately realised the cons outweighed the pros.

About 7 years. She was friends with someone in my course in college back in 2003. We didn't get with each other then and she briefly went out with my best friend who I was living with. I moved to Sligo for a few years so lost contact with her.

Then in 2010 she sent me a message on FB, found out I had moved back to the area and we met up for a drink.



Now we're getting married in July :pac:

I think it was 19 years for me. I knew this girl since I was born, grew up on the same street, played together.
Then my family moved when I was in my early teens.
Forgot about her until one day in a boozer in college I get a tap on the shoulder saying 'It's ME!!!'
Ended up together for a while until she tore out my heart and stomped on it, lit it on fire, extinguished it, lit it on fire again, stomped on it again.
Then we had a couple of flings together in the subsequent months.

She used to call me the odd time for a few years after that to try get me to meet up. I did once or twice but I felt like she wanted to get back together but I had moved on.

Knew my current OH about ten years before we got together. Didn't know him that well really but I was good enough friends with his brother for the past few years, and we would have had friends in common and stuff.

In first year of secondary school (so 1995), i started dating this Polish girl. We dated for 7 months, but me being me and her being her, and us both being 14, we were innocent. Holding hands and cuddling was the limit of our sexual contact. We never even kissed aside from a simple peck on the lips every now and again.

Anyway, we broke up and i'm still waiting, so.... Going on about 20 years now. Just have to wait for her to break up with her current fella! My plan of saying absolutely nothing will eventually pay off!

First actual time i got to the end? The girlfriend after that^ one. Was with her for 2 years before the deed was done. If only i knew then what i know now, i could probably have reduced that to 18 months.
