Sounds a bit severe is this the first time it happened? Was it just a wrong score on a single hole?

    Seems a bit unbelievable.
Was your card returned with the correct score?
    Was it an honest mistake?
Why are you only following it up now?

Did you put the wrong score on your card too?

the right score on the card. this club is close to Venters dorp you know what i mean. i wouldnt have worried about them but my kids want to start playing golf and because i cant play on the course we must travel about 40km just for a round of golf and thats after school.

The club manager throws you out? Wft?? You should have written a letter to the committee explaining what happened.

This 'club manager' sounds like an imbecile. Either that, or there's something you're not telling us.

I think you should go straight to a solicitor, investing your money on some professional advice is the best thing you can do right now.

Either total madness or as others said not the full story. I imagine it must have been a downward 'adjustment' and landed you in the prizes? I haven't a clue as to the proper procedures but I imagine the comp committee wouldn't check every single card, only the goof ones?

If it is the full story it's crazy.

On another thought. You wouldn't be a former member by any chance who now plays opens there on a distance membership?

Venters dorp? Actually we don't know what you mean.

Are you located in Ireland - if so, where (40km sounds like a long way to travel for alternative golf)?

Is your former club a members' club?

Mistakes like entering an incorrect score into the computer are not that uncommon and are usually sorted out amicably, without resorting to drastic action such as lifetime suspension from a club.

I think there's a lot you are not telling us!

The score on your scorecard over rides the score in the computer. The computer should have been updated when they checked this.

If someone manipulated their scorecard then it is a whole different story.

i use to be a member for almost 15yrs at this very conservative club in the platteland where there were openly discriminated against members of other color and i couldnt take it any longer. so i wrote a letter to the club and explain what i think of them and went on to join another club. a few months later this nonsens happend while i was playing in a sponsored day on there course. i didnt dispute it cause i was so gatvol of them not knowing how this would affect me 2yrs later.
this is only a short version of what happened

    Urban Dictionary: gatvol
    www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gatvol
gatvol. Pronounced: gaaat-fall. Meaning: very fed-up or irritated. It is a South African word, derived from the Afrikaans language, but widely used in English
