I am on a blue line route on eirs broadband map. Recently eir have put a red D on a white background on the poles along the road. Does anyone know what this means?

It means that the pole is dangerous for Eircom technicians to climb and that they are not allowed up it.

    Hi Tullogher

Such network and infrastructural decisions are not made available to the public I'm afraid. I can assure you though that no danger is presented to the public and such markings are made for engineers attention only.

    Thanks
    Al
