Anxious

I have been suffering with anxiety for a long long time now, very up and down mood wise and the downs are awful. I work in a busy pressurised job and feel like a square peg in a round hole, keep waiting to be found out. Work colleagues are ok but I would not be overly friendly with them. We get on but it's superficial, hope that makes sense.
I have just started lustral from my gp and am commencing counselling this week too through EAP. I just feel very alone and am struggling a lot, my husband is supporting me but am afraid he will get sick of me being like this. Have not told anyone else.
Can anyone advise how long medication takes to kick in and when will this awful nervy hopeless feeling go away? I feel like I just want to run away from everything but to where I have no idea, my gp signed me off work last week but had to work from home as job too busy not to.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, many thanks.

I cant offer you any advise re. Meds, but if you dont start feeling a little better then talking to your g would help.

The counselling will help but everything takes time to kick in.

Share any worries/doubts with your husband, everyone needs support when they're in a tough place.

    Good luck
