I've been offered a job in sandyford but before accepting I need to work out how long it would take me to do the commute if starting work at 9 and finishing at 5.30. Is there anyone who's doing a similar commute who could give me an idea please? I live on the celbridge rd so don't have to go through Maynooth

Leixlip to Sandyford/Leopardstown takes 45 mins in the morning, and 60-90 mins on the way back, I start at 8 and finish before 5. That avoids some of the worst traffic, on way in at least. This is N4 to M50, you might shave some time off heading for N7.

im hoping to start at 8 and finish at 4.30. I assume this should speed things up on the way home?

I left at about 16:35 yesterday, home about 17:35 - Leixlip village was about 5 minutes of that though.
It's hard to give an average time though, as it's very inconsistent, all it takes is a breakdown and you can add half an hour onto your travel time, even if its cleared before you even get on the M50.
For example yesterday trip in took 45 minutes, this morning, leaving at same time, took 1 hour, with no crashes or breakdowns anywhere that I seen.
