New chief of Staff: VADM Mellett

    We've a new Chief of Staff: Vice Admiral Mark Mellett took over from LtGen O'Boyle today.

    It's the first time a naval officer has held the Chief of Staff position in Ireland, interesting development, especially given the outstanding work of the naval service in the Mediterranean.

    I met him earlier in the year ,He's an absolute gent from what I seen of him . then again it was only for a few minutes :pac: Goodluck on the new appointment either way. Navy needs a bit of expansion .
