    Just wondering about the following.

Moved abroad for a year and gave up the child benefit payment. Moved back to Ireland this year and want to reapply for it. Does anyone know the process.? The standard form doesn't seem to accomodate this and the phonelines are all automated.

The phones aren't automated at all. Just follow the prompts.
Just complete the application form and send it off, if they need any further documentation they'll write to you.
