Just wondering what can be done to a field / site prior to the commencement notice going in to the council.

Can the field be cleared of gorse bushes and ferns etc?

Yes. Site can be cleared, hoarding erected, site hunt and site storage, etc. These come under 'enabling works' which are permitted.

basically anything thats not covered under "building regulations"

ie everything up to digging out foundations

Site clearance once it's less than 1m up or down.
    Hoarding.
    Site prep, office etc
Once you cut for foundations, technically you have commenced.

What more can you do within 2 weeks.

I take it then I can't gradually tip away myself over a few months and the enabling works are carried within 2 weeks of the commencement notice going in?

Where did you get the 1m measurement from? I've never heard that referenced before. That would technically exclude tall shrubs and small trees.

Changing the existing ground level by +\- 1000mm required planning permission.
Shrubbery and trees etc shouldn't come into unless they are protected planting.

Oh right sorry, I follow you now. I though you were referring to plants not ground level.

    Hi All,

In relation to the commencement notice is it minimum notice of 14 working days or just 14 days?
It doesn't seem to specify online and keen to get started.

    Thanks in advance
