Going to a wedding at the weekend.

    Thinking of getting a fascinator.

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on them?

    Very common.
    Why not a hat?

Yes I'm thinking that fascinators are bit silly

    But what about this one?

I've never worn a hat at a wedding.....I'd be unsure if I'd be comfortable

That looks stylish - not the usual feathery fascinator I was imagining.

    It's practically a hat ;)

Well there seems to be a bit of thought behind it in comparison to as you say the usual feathery fascinators

I honestly hate fascinators with a passion. Especially on women under 40. I don't think any outfit looks incomplete without one either. The one you have picked is nicer than most of the awful half-bird/half hat contraptions you see women trying to balance on their heads though.

Hate to say it but I personally think fascinators look a bit cheap. Although the one you've linked to is better than most. Sorry for being so blunt! :(

Thanks for all the feedback! I feel the same as most of you.

I'll probably get a nice diamante clip for my hair instead of a fascinator
