what happens re: attendance if you choose a different subject?

I'm doing a course where I choose a minor from the arts. I had chosen anthropology but now I'm interested in maybe Computer Science. I'm allowed to change course within the first three weeks of Semester 1 (I believe). Say I miss the first seminar because I'm registered for anthropology, not CS. Would I be marked as 'not in attendance' for that seminar and have marks deducted?
Also, this wouldn't really apply to me, but what about assessments you missed because you were registered for a different course? Would you get a NG for those?
    (thanks <3)
