Hi I have a heat line c24 boiler. It works fine but when I try to set the timer the radiators don't come on

Is there a thermostat on the wall?

Turn it to 35 and see if the rads work

Yes they work. Does the dial need to be turned to the radiator? I assumed when I did this even when I had set the timer that the radiators would still come on, someone has told me otherwise. They have said if I have set the timer and move the dial, the radiators will still only come on at the time I set. So confused

If the star is turned down to 0 will the boiler fire and heat the cylinder?

Everything works fine. It's just the radiators won't come on when I set the time

Rads are probably controlled by the stat on the wall. It's very basic, when room reaches the set point in the stat, it closes a valve that stops the rads heating.

The rads haven't stopped working they just don't come on when I set the timer. I'd like them to come on at 5am as I am up at 6am

They do come on, it's just that the room is warm enough according to the setting you've put on the stat so the rads won't heat the room warmer than you want it.
Irish people don't understand hearing controls very well. They think the heating is broke if there rads aren't hopping off the wall!
If you want the rads hot every time Ye boiler fires, then leave the stat at 35 and they'll always heat.

The stat is at the highest...when I turn the radiators on they work fine but when I set the time they don't come on

Then it's the timer at fault

In that case I will speak to my landlord about getting a plumber out. Thank you

How do you turn them on? Explain it in detail.
