Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What are the childcare options for ASD kids?

Hi guys, getting ahead of myself here...I'm on mat leave at the moment and have a 3 year old with an ASD. I hope to return to work next year so am
Thinking about childcare. I don't feel a crÃ႒¨che would suit my son just yet, so assuming he is in education/preschool for 4 hours of the day, what are the options for after school care?
Does it need to be a specialised type
Of care? I have to look at cost too and if it is viable to return to work.
    Thanks all

You will need to talk to the creches and see.
A childminder that can give him more 1 to 1 time and has ASD experience might be a better option.

Yeah, was thinking a crèche may not have the ability/expertise. From what I see a lot of crèche are tightly staffed as it is. I've only gone on mat leave so have time but know not to leave these things too late either

We gave the tutor going into the crèche with him as support. We gave to make sure they don't rely on her too much. She's really just his shadow.
