am i doing this correctly??

A block of gold has dimensions: (l)10cm (b)20cm (h)50. If gold has a density of 19300Kgm-3 calculate the mass of the block of gold.
Volume 10x20x50=10000cm*3 = 0.01m*3
m= v x p
m= 0.01*3 x 19300*-3


font is not great but its 19300Kg/m*to the minus3

the 193000 to the minus 3 is confusing me

This bit is correct. Treat the dimensions (metres) as you would any variable. E.g.

0.1B]m[/B x 0.2B]m[/B x 0.5B]m[/B = 0.01B]m[/BB]m[/BB]m[/B = 0.01B]m[/B^3

m= 0.01B]m[/B^3 x 19300B]Kg[/BB]m[/B^-3

What you had written wasn't correct. You've forgotten the dimensions. I've included them in red above. So your calculation should be:

0.01B]m[/B^3 x 19300B]Kg[/BB]m[/B^-3
= 193B]m[/B^3B]Kg[/BB]m[/B^-3
= 193B]m[/B^3B]Kg[/BB]m[/B^-3
= 193B]Kg[/B

Note how the B]m[/B^3 cancels out the B]m[/B^-3
