Bringing eliquid on a plane

Does anyone have any advice/experience of bringing liquid on a flight?

Going to Spain for a week and don't want to risk not having decent stuff with me.

Does it have to go in checked luggage?

Hand luggage is fine, in bottles less than 100ml each, in a plastic bag.

All batteries have to be in hand luggage.

I've been on a lot of flights this year and there was never any issue with having the battery in my pocket once I put it through the scanner at security, didn't have to dismantle it either.

In your pocket is the same as bringing it as hand luggage. :) what I mean is that lithium ion batteries are no longer allowed in the hold

I brought 3 mods and 5 tanks on holidays there 2 weeks ago. I put all the tanks in a clear bag going through security. 3 mods were in my hand luggage and there wasn't a word said to me.

I got brave as most of the tanks were near full as well. Turned them all upside down and wedged them in tightly in my bag so they stayed that way. Barely had any leaks.

Do you know if there are rules about this published online?

    Edit:
    Its ok, I found this...

In accordance with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Safety Information Bulletin No. 2015-06R1 customers are required to carry battery powered portable electronic smoking devices (e-cigarettes)in their cabin baggage. They must not be placed in checked in luggage in the hold. In addition passengers are not permitted to recharge these devices on board the aircraft at any time.

I usually put the battery & tank assembled into the liquid bag, so it's obvious that it's an e-cig.

Then put it back in my pocket after security. Keep it upside down in your pocket while on the plane, or it will leak.

I still haven't figured out a way to stop my bottles of eliquid leaking though. The plastic baggy is wet and soggy with liquid when I land.

Do you use glass or plastic bottles? Or would it matter?

If using plastic bottles, try opening the lid and squeezing the bottle slightly. While still squeezing, close the lid tight. This will allow for expansion with the change in pressure in the cabin.
If you are using glass bottles, do not do this as they will smash while squeezing them ;)
Instead, buy a few empty plastic bottles to transfer liquid into for travelling.
