Hi all, i had an interview with Home store and more on monday it went really well, they told me i would receive a call on Thursday about the job. Well i was in college yesterday and i looked at my phone and i had a missed call from them, i tried calling them back several times but it goes true to an automatic voice mail putting me on hold, the thing is i was put on hold for at least a half an hour and still no answer. Im wondering what i should do? Do you think they will call back? They didnt call me back today so im starting to get worried.

    Thanks

pretty normal to miss a call- not a big deal- if they want to call back they will

Should i drop into the store and see what the story is?

Have you had any e-mail communication from them. If so, drop them an e-mail and ask for an update.

This exact thing happened to me. To be honest, I didn't try to call back at all, I just waited till I was called again. They should call back, they're not going to not offer you a job just because you happened to be busy at the time that they called. It's probably best to drop in and see though, I suppose.

Not necessarily. Some will just say you snooze you lose and call the next person on the list.

    Depends on the job.

If its a professional position they'll call again because they want YOU.

If it's for a minimum wage job they will probably call the next person on the list because they want SOMEONE.

Ah that's a shame. To be honest I'd very impressed with the interest of someone that would bother calling to the office (store in this case) to follow up personally. Any possibility of something else cropping up?
