Visa and criminal conviction

Has anyone ever ticked yes on the criminal conviction on the DS-160 form. I'm going to the USA for 6 months with work. I assume I'll need a B1/2 visa.

I've a drink driving charge from 2011 and want to know if anyone knows of this will delay the visa process?

A single DUI conviction is not grounds to deny entry into the U.S; however, multiple DUI convictions or a DUI conviction in combination with other misdemeanor offenses can make a person inadmissible and require a waiver prior to entering the United States. A crime of moral turpitude (CIMT) may be grounds to deny entry to the U.S.

He could also be required to be examined by a physician to see if alcohol is a problem in his life. While it's not outright grounds for denying entry. A single DUI can lead to refusal on advice of civil physician.
