Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Personal WordPress blog. Both the site and repo have been around since forever - I use the repo as a sandbox and test environment. Yesterday I drew an arbitrary line under a 1.0 version and did a release, which makes it a great time to get feedback on the code and site itself. :)

    I had a quick look at your blog out of curiosity and for ideas for my own.....

    The thing that bothers me most about it is how does one get a ruby developer job first and then learn ruby?

    I'm learning ruby at the moment too and want to get into development but a degree (have one of them) seems to be no use without experience so i'm guessing you just side stepped into ruby from some other discipline? enlighten me please....
