Had my bike lights stolen yesterday evening when bike was locked up outside of the gym.

Anyone have any recommendations of basic lights that are hard to remove / steal?

Mainly city centre cycling only in well lit areas so doesn't need to be massively bright.

    Thanks

Most lights are quick release so you can bring them with you. Is it mandatory that you leave them on the bike?

Aldi are doing a cheap set for 7.99 ... not sure how much light they throw off buy might suit you and also are quick release.

Your best bet is a good set of lights that you remove when locked up in town. It's the easiest solution imo.

I agree with removable lights. The little scrotes are not only going around with bolt cutters, they also have allen keys and screwdrivers these days.

came across these yesterday, front one fits as/replaces a spacer beneath your stem, back one is fitted to saddle post by removing the saddle:

I have the little Lezyne removable set - got in Halfords for €30 - very handy to stick on and remove and just stick them in your pocket.

Interesting. I havent read all the details but the one downside is not being able to charge them away from the bike. For example if i'm in work I can charge my light at my desk, I can't bring my bike up to my desk :)
