Decided to do a bit of a tidy today (nothing to do with a neighbour having an inspection the start of the week) and went separating the fertiliser bags.apart from the shock of how many were there the other thing that struck me is our old system of stuffing liners into one bag and bags into the other is actually very slow.so with all the good and tidy farmers on here whats yere system.im thinking of setting up a couple more pallets like the warp with strings at the bottom to ty it up.while we are on it what do ye do with rubish, I use mini bulk bags to gather and store it until I get rid

Anyone who cuts turf would gladly take the 50KG bags off your hands.

I use them under suck calves with straw on top. Would go through two per calf when rearing. Have to be cremated after that job.

We stuff 10 big bags into another and leave out for recycle truck every other week.

Pallets go back to branch as yard man collects and sells with proceeds going to a local charity

I have a round holder bought from Frs with a liner that holds 150 wraps with net going in recycle bin

Get a skip every second year here and that take most of the rubbish..

Pay around €370 a yr to KWD recycling, they take all house waste, dirty filter socks, old gloves etc from the parlour in one bin. And any recycling from the house, parlour, empty fert bags etc in another bin.
Old silage wraps are to the recycling collection every summer whenever it comes around.
Also a cousin of mine who's in plant hire/quarry work has a fully licenced tip on some rough ground of mine on an outside block of land, I take any yard rubbish etc here.
And inspite of all this the place can still get messy!

How do you empty, tip out?.for silage wrap I use 4 pallets but I put fertiliser straps on the bottom and up the sides which can be tied off and keeps the bundle together for movin when you take away the pallets.thinking of setting up 2 more for fertiliser bags

For wrap I throw the whole cage into the trailer and it is emptied at the collection points or recycling centres

Silage wrap plastic goes to recycling once a year. Store them in round feeders

Net wrap in another feeder for burning

Have gotten pallets taken back by local merchant but hate asking him.

Drums and spray bottles in another recycling bag

Anyone use this and what's the verdict? They say it keeps plastic dry and therefor weighs less a recycling centre. Net usually goes in black bin along with most non farm recycling rubbish
