    If I'm on Vodafone here, would I need to get the phone unlocked?

    Yes Handset Would be locked to VF UK and would not work on VF IE afaik

    Think this needs a UK tel number to order, I’m guessing they’ll know whether it’s valid. Couldn’t get past that step, never mind the postal address.

    tried parcelmotel uk number and address and all was accepted but it still wouldn't process at the end..

    You can use the parcel motel NI phone number whenever you need a uk one.
