I see a number of clubs around the country advertising intro spins for the winter. Any clubs doing something like this in Cork?

Where in Cork are you based?
Have you contacted your local clubs and asked them?
Bandon CC and Ballincollig Crusaders are both active clubs in this bit of cork (they use Facebook a lot) and run with different groups on weekly spins so would might suit. Lee Roadies and Coachford do too.
My general rule is that if you contact a club and they don't really get back to you then it doesn't sound like a club looking for new members so try another.
De Ronde Van Cork CC have regular runs too from Eastgate and Ballincollig (I think) but I'm not sure on the experience required but I think there are a couple of guys from there on Boards who could help you - when I've seen them out and about (Rebel Tour) they were very nice folks to talk to.

Check out the De Ronde van Cork facebook page here; https://www.facebook.com/DeRondeVanCork
Not sure what Hunterbiker means by he isnt sure what the experience required to join them is, but the club caters for all types & levels of cyclists, from beginner to aspiring racer, and run plenty spins over both days of the weekend to suit every level out there! Spins leave from Little Island, Douglas & Ballincollig depending on the weekend. Check it out, if it suits you send off a message to the club & see what you think yourself...

Sorry if that came across in a negative way. I always got the impression the Club was race focused - I had never ventured to find out for myself mind.

I wanted to make sure I mentioned DRVC in my post though as they seemed to have so many meet-up points. (and the club kit looks ace!)

I'm looking to join a club in the Cork area. Want to try and hold onto the fitness I've gained over the summer (if any!) over the winter months.

Re the DRvCC social spin, can you just turn up or are they limited by the number of 'Guest' spots (for insurance purposes) until you become a full member? I'm not on the Facebook so I can't leave a message on the event post.

I can assure you, I'm not race focused!

bang off a facebook message, someone will get back to you.
Sunday morning is the more social group heading off for cake somewhere.

If not on facebook, you'll get the committee on the Strava page, but facebook better.
