Update to Note app

I must be missing something (probably a simple thing) but can anyone draw on the note app? I thought we were supposed to be able to doodle on it now but can't for the life of me see how. Ta R

did you upgrade to the new notes? after that on a blank note there should be a + symbol and then there's a swiggley line there.

Presumed it updated as part of ios9 (or 9.0.1) which I have on the phone

nope you have to actually agree to the updated notes app as they changed the underlaying architecture.
