Rent Supplement query

    Hi peeps.

    General query here.

Does anyone know if a landlord accepts rent allowance and the forms are processed, does he have to self-declare the income at the end of the year or if his tax credits will be automatically affected?

Basically I need to whether the department of social protection will inform revenue that they are paying x amount to the LL's PPS number or does he have to do this himself.

Thanks in advance, can't find anything on-line that will answer this

Landlords are required to do an actual tax return. There is no communication between revenue and dsp on housing supplements.
