    Hi
Came across these at the ploughing and they look quite good. Thinking of the bigger models to heat all the house now. Any of you know anything bout these?

They used to make the boilers for Stanley before they outsourced to China so the boilers would be top notch. Stove casting and enamel quality I don't know but look ok.

Hi stove great, we got the biggest one, not sure model name, think it's 24/25kw ....we have about 16 radiators off it. Now some are only small ones. But when we've a good fire on the stove heats all radiators no problem.......anything else just ask. Hope this helps a little

Im back again! Still didn't get my stove yet because id to get rid of an old range that wasn't up to the job first. Just wondering if your still happy with the pierce?
What kind of fuel have you been putting in it and how much does it go through?
How often do you need to refill it?

    Sorry for all the questions!

    Hi no bother at all.
Our stove is great, the heat out of it is super. Its the 25kw one and now we have 22 rads off it, heats them no problem and heats all the water needed for the house. We are using sticks, turf and coal so a bit of everything. Yeah it does go through a good bit of fuel as its so big but if you didn't need it heating as much you wouldn't go through as much. I'm reckoning about 100e per mth in the winter we've used for fuel but that literally is the whole house heated. And we'd have it going all day. If needed our oil would only have been on for half hour in the morn or in the middle of the night on the really frosty nights, so really the stove is doing all the work.
    Hope that helps a bit

    Hi all,

Just looking for some tips on how you run your pierce stove and what types of coal/fuel you recommend. I’ve recently installed the Glas18 model. When loading it up with your first load of coal do you have both air vents fully open? How long do you leave Them open for before you dial them back? What’s the best way you find for keeping a good output to the radiators.

Thanks in advance for any help.
