Hi All, I know Ryanair charges €45 if you arrive at an airport without your check in detail printed out. What about Aer Lingus? I'm flying from Lanzarote to Dublin this Friday. Is it enough to arrive just with your passport and booking reference number?

    Thanks

No just check in at the airport and they will give you one for free as said above if checking in online you should print one.

Even if you check in online, you can print at the airport at the machine or collect at desk

    Wrong.

+1 You would do this for example this if you wanted to reserve your seat beginning 30 hours before the flight but didn't want to or couldn't print the boarding pass at home or in your hotel. If you're checking in a bag, there's usually no benefit in printing the boarding pass in advance of arriving at the airport because you have to go to a desk anyway and they can print the boarding pass there and then, in the case of Aer Lingus for no charge.

Aer Lingus let you check in with a QR code (actually an Aztec Code) displayed on your mobile phone now; you have the option to display the code while doing the online check-in.

I'm sure there's an app as well, but I just screen-grabbed the code on my iPhone - worked fine coming back through Heathrow last week. I imagine any airport that Aer Lingus allow online check-in for will accept them.

Just to back-up as correct what coylemj posted as so many people like giving incorrect information out here, Aer Lingus do not charge for desk check-in or re-printing boarding cards.

Also worth noting, Aer Lingus offer mobile check-in via android or iphone app, however this is only available at some airports and Lanzarote is not currently one of them.

Just arrive with your passport and check in at the desk or the machine. Works every time with Aer Lingus.

Yeah, and the check in machines are great too.
