I'm looking to buy a bike computer for a friend,
I see Aldi are doing a garmin 500 model, would this be a bit ott for a non computer friendly person all he really wants is something to tell him he's cycled 6miles and it took 10mins,
Can any one recommend a model/make to get,
    Thanks

If it is for something that simple, would you not be better with the cheap lidl/aldi wired/wireless jobs, that way if they were ever robbed, you lose 7/8 euro rather than 109?? the cheap ones are quite accurate if that is all you want to know.
Alternatively, if your mate has a smartphone, why not put strava on it for all the other bells and whistles?

Never mind the computer. If your mate is doing 6 miles in 10 min, he might want to think about a change in career.

Its easy enough to improve your time, turn the GPS upside down. :-) :-)
