Tipperary - experienced bmw mechanic needed

    Hi
To start I bought a 2004 318ci e46 coupe about 3 weeks ago , I got a good deal on it knew some work had to be done.
So I could smell burning oil through the vents and I changed rocker gasket and still have the smell as this was the only job I could do myself I then handed it to few local mechanics who in turn changed the cat converter, the cam shaft sensor and the had the starter reconditioned and I still have the burning smell ( plus the engine was totally cleaned externally so the crude oil was washed off)

What I'm looking for is an experienced bmw mechanic at good rates to give my car a proper look over and tell me exactly what I need to get it right . I love the car I bought and don't want to be throwing money at it just for the head gasket or something to go and am left with the car parked in the driveway .

I'm in Clonmel so someone fairly close by would be handy but am willing to travel

Not in Tipperary but if you cannot find someone closer then Bavarian Auto Technik in Abbeyfeale, Co.Limerick are well recommended.

Wyses in Clogheen, about 15 mins from Clonmel are one of the biggest bmw breakers around and they've also been repairing them for years. They'd be my first port of call for a chat.

    Hi again
I just tried wyses there and was told they only break bmw but recommended a lad in cahir named Paulo in the industrial estate on the Tipperary road where caseys tiles and floors are. Does anyone have his number or can recommend him as I can't find a number anywhere for him
    Thanks in advance
    Seamus

You could try O'Shea in Tramore, seems to be highly recommended by people. Not too local but you can have some chips and an ice cream.

I know it's going against your decent rates idea but Morrisons in Cahir might be worth a call.

I use Steve Murphy (Murphy Motor Works) in Cork. Always find him excellent, quick and reasonable. Think he was head mechanic in one of the main dealers before going solo. Couldn't fault the guy in any way.
