Hello, I'm just looking for some advice and wondering can anybody help me, does anybody know the cheapest way to get from Galway (ballinasloe) to Waterford for a non student ?
Bus or train, I believe the train is €63 which sounded to much!

Bus Eireann via Athlone would be the cheapest option.

Route 20/X20 to Athlone and route 73 from there to Waterford (2 services each day) or Route 20/X20 to Dublin and route 4 from there to Waterford.

    Route 20/X20 timetable here:

    Route 73 here:
    http://www.buseireann.ie/timetables/1425901904-073.pdf

    Route 4 here:
    http://www.buseireann.ie/timetables/1425310182-004.pdf

Single is €27.08 and return €45.12 if booked online.

Use the journey planner at www.buseireann.ie

Book the train online and you can get a single for 26.99 (49 return), you need to select Ballinasloe-Kildare and Kildare-Waterford as two tickets.

    06.09
    08.07
    13.45
    15.47
Weekdays all connect with Waterford services at Kildare.

What times and days did you look up for that? I searched that and cheapest was €55

Monday-Saturday, you need to book separate tickets to/from Kildare. All those times are the connections which display when you look at Ballinasloe-Waterford but as I say you need to book separate tickets for both legs.

Just to point out, you don't have to be a student to use the JJ Kavanaghs service.

The further you book in advance, the cheaper the fare.
