    Hi Guys,

I compete in 10km and 1/2 marathon road races. I was thinking of doing some cross country events as part of my training. what is the story with entering events. Do I need to be a member of an Athletics Club to enter or how do I tell the difference between what I can enter and not enter(whats an open race versus a members only race).

    Thanks

Star of the Sea (this Sunday), Autumn Open and BHAA races are open races that anyone can enter.

Anything where you see Novice, Intermediate or Senior Championship (Dublin, Leinster, All Ireland etc) is a race where you need to be member of an AC

Aside from this other races that are club ones include

    InterCounties and Interclubs.
