Slight changes to house plans from planning permission

    Hi all,

We are just in the process making decisions towards our specification drawings which we hope to get done soon.

I am looking at our plans, for which we have full planning permission, and I really want to move the location of our back door in the utility room - where it is will mean we have a whole wall that will be useless for cabinets etc. I'm just wondering, if we were to do this, do we have to go through planning again or as it's at the back of the house and only going to be moved a couple of feet to one side (basically swap it's position with the window in the room) will it make much difference?

I think I could learn to live with it where it is if it was going to have to go through planning again but... Any ideas??

Your architect will determine, generally this is a minor modification submitted to planning authority with drawing and explanation letter.

With the new building control regs, try to get these changes included in the commencement notice package.

Minor alteration that does not need planning. Apply for declaration of exemption citing section 4-1-h of the planning act if you want the official paper work for the future.
