Alternitive to iStick

    Hi all,

Looking for an alternative for my wife. I have an iStick 20w for the best part of 12 months which has been faultless, but in the last nine months my wife has gone through two iStick 20s (threading went), which I replaced about two months ago with the 30w to address the threading issue. Recharging of this has now become problematic. The usb connection seems to be going, as it has to be propped at an angle to recharge.

Are there any alternatives out there with a similar form factor. She uses a nautilus mini, and likes her vaping simple. Sick of replacing these at 40euro a pop.

    Thanks.

Innokin Cool fire 4 is supposed to be solid build quality. I don't have one though. Others might have more suggestions.

Have on of these and find them great.

I have an istick 30w too, but the build quality seems much better. Size wise, its a tiny bit bigger than the istick.

iJust2 is very hassle free and only 20 us on gearbest

    Thanks all.

Was looking at the Innokin Cool Fire alright. Think it might fit the bill. I'll also return the istick and see what the supplier says. Could do with having a spare battery in the house as we're living on the edge with only one each.

Have you thought about a cloupor mini?

This have a removable 18650 batter? Might pick one of them up for myself. How long would you get out of one of these before recharging?

It depends on the battery, but most 18650 batteries have a longer life than the istick 30w.

Id agree with you there Fred, I had an istick 30W for about 4 or 5 months and decided to buy a back up - I was about to buy another istick and the clopor mini went on sale on ezsmoke for €50
I have it now about about 3 months and its my go to mod. I have the istick as a back up but all i have to do is buy a new battery and its a new mod,

happy days as far as Im concerned:D

I never go above 11 Watts and it easily outlasts the istichk

I recently ordered a "Wismec Presa". Very cool looking thing with great reviews, and seems to have the same guts as the iStick. Seems much better ergonomically than the usual box shape batteries.

Got it for real cheap, around 20yoyo.

It's currently on it's way from China so I will post a review in 2016.

Was looking at getting one of these (they have dropped price from €30 to €24 since I last looked). The only thing that put me off was the discrepancy on their site regarding the battery used.

On their site they say it is a 2300 mAh but on GB and FT it is advertised as 2600 mAh. I e-mailed them about this and the reply suggested it depended on what battery supplier they were using at the time?

Really interested to see what you think of it...

That is strange alright. Who did you email? Wismec or the shop?

Wismec directly (wismec.com) where the battery capacity is stated as 2300 mAh. Here is their exact reply:

    Dear friend,

Thanks for your email and attention of our products.
The battery capacity has a little differences cause we bought them from different battery suppliers.
We need to release a conservative number for customers to eliminate the impact of these nuances.
Sorry for making you confused and hope you can understand.

Just on the Cloupor Mini, on scanning the forum I noticed an older thread where overheating issues were discussed. Did this turn out to be a widespread issue/resolved on recent versions. Asking as somebody who charges a lot from a computer and in the car.

No it's not adjustable at all but works really well, I find it gives a perfect vape and I haven't had a dry hit or a leak on either of my 2 ones
