someone I know my friend bought new house and new kitchen appliances were included in new house price. When Snag list was done, kitchen appliances were not installed and snagger could not include in check list(not sure why snagging was done before appliances fitted)

anyhow, After 4 weeks moving in, they found that freezer wall was damaged, i.e there is a big crack/damage, as below:
    Fridge_Freezer_Issue.jpg

its only visible once all boxes and trays are out and otherwise hidden under glass and box edges. either it was damaged upon delivery/installation and they did not notice, hidden away or either it cracked or broken later.

Then they contacted builder, builder said he will see, again another week passed, then builder asked them to speak to company who delivered the appliances.

then they contacted supplier and supplier said, "damage is not covered and nothing they can do here." no more reply since then.

So, this left the question who has contract with who?
    any advice in this regard?

The house owner has a contract with the builder, not the supplier.
I don't think consumer law applies to housing, even if that housing contains consumer goods as they form part of the house sale.
