Part 4 Tenancy?

I have been renting four years in the same property.

My landlord has just given me a new lease after 4 years which has written in it: "For one year only".

By the landlord writing this sentence into the lease, will my tenancy no longer become a part 4 tenancy after 6 months?

That sentence has no legal standing. He cannot take away your statutory rights.

The lease may be for one year only, your tenancy is separate from the lease and runs in 4-year cycles. If you have been there 4 years and sign a new one year lease, you get the second Part 4 tenancy after 6 months of the new lease.
