    Hi all,

I'm hoping to go on a weeks surfing holiday (solo) to somewhere in Europe, any advice would be greatly appreciated?

    Such as,

Portugal, Spain or the Canary Islands?
Recommend any particular surf spot / surf lodge for a beginner level?
Best time of the year to go for waves & a good social element?
Hoping to join a group as will be a solo traveler, surf by day & drink/music/bbq by night?
    Within a reasonable budget?

    Thanking you.

Do a search for surf school deals and check flight prices and book...

Most places are good crack, canaries will have better weather but more expensive flights

a group of us are just back from Portugal. nice waves and it cost €98 return with Ryanair. super cheap place to be in (Peniche is the area) and plenty of surf camps in the area.

Thanks for your feedback Fionn101, I looked into Peniche, looks really good & so accessible. Could be a contender!

Nice one spaceHopper, the cheaper the flight the better :P
