Toyota Avensis 2.0 D-4D Strata/T2 2009 - Timing Chain/Timing Belt

Buying a used car and unsure about buying an Avensis Strata or Avensis T2, both are 2009.
I know they're much the same, but do they both have timing chains?
I've been told that the T2 has a timing belt and the Strata has a timing chain, but then I've heard that all D-4D's have a chain. So, as you can see, I'm unsure.

The Avensis T2 is an English import, so I'm wary of it, but it's cheaper.
The Avensis Strata is a straighter looking car, but I'm unsure about the belt or chain.

If anyone could tell me what type of timing is used in the Avensis T2 and the Avensis Strata, I'd be very happy. Because they broke my heart in the golfs

Oh, and is there any differences between the two submodels? The T2 or Strata? Wouldn't really care for leather seats or any of them auwl fal dals, but, if there's anything mechanically superior in either car, I'll be sure to pick the better submodel.

T2 is a UK trim level, similar to Aura trim here. The 2009 2.0 D-4D engine has a timing chain irrespective of which trim the car is in.

Strata is higher spec than a UK T2 spec btw.

Anything I should be looking out for tomorrow in the car? Any common problem with the Avensis that I'd notice in a test drive or a good look under the car?
